One month to go

Hard to believe that I am leaving in 1 month! I am in the final push to collect items that I will need and that the mission can use.

I am sure that I don’t understand the depth of poverty our patients live in. They do not have toilet paper or soap or hand cream. As I shopped the after-Christmas sales yesterday, I was reminded of the excess that we enjoy.

I am hoping to collect a few nice things for both the staff and the patients–ball caps for the men, Vaseline and soap for the women, baby clothes for newborns. I will use the money you donated, so thank you again.
