My name is Leah and I’m a women’s health nurse practitioner. I live in Massachusetts. I have traveled with the International Organization for Women and Development to Kigali, Rwanda in February since 2016. This blog is my travel journal.
I have always been interested in international health issues, but like many people, I was nervous about the risks. Would it be safe? Would I regret my decision to travel so far from home? Travel is never risk-free, but Rwanda has become on of the safest countries in Africa. I have never regretted my decision to join this mission, and I hope you can hear the joy I feel as you read my writing.
